Being in the historic triangle, we also went to the Jamestown Settlement and Yorktown Victory Center.

The Jamestown Settlement had an Indian village to explore and three boats to board from the dock. 

There were lots of hands on activities for the girls, and the indoor museum exhibits were very well done also.  There were lots of chickens to chase in the fort, which made one of us very excited.

And to make sure the girls (and parents) were extra exhausted, we went to a really great park with lots of great fort-like stuff to play on.
