Garden tour anyone? Some people have asked, and so warning...there are lots of pictures!
The herbs are growing well. What do you think of our little decorative wattle fence? It was a bit labor intensive but put alot of the pruning refuse from the willow to good use. What's that you say, why are potatoes growing in the herb bed? It was an experiment...I didn't expect them to sprout and now I'm not sure if I should yank them or wait and see if they will actually grow potatoes.
I had no idea asparagus could get so tall. It's so tempting to cut them down...patience is truly a virtue...
Did you spy the strawberry bed behind the asparagus? It's beautiful isn't it? Good job, Marshall! It's the only enclosed bed, all the others are freeform due to the lack of funds :) We've been dutifully picking off the berry flowers this year so that they will grow strong roots (read that somewhere, hope it's true), but today we spied a berry that got away...it was delicious too.
The lettuce and spinach are thriving, and no little critters have eaten any yet (except for us, we ate some of the lettuce today...yum)
I built this very rustic looking a-frame trellis for the peas and beans...hopefully there will be enough peas and beans to climb and fill it in otherwise it's going to look pretty funny.
The grape tomato plants are getting large, you can hardly see Emily back there. The current stakes are not cutting it, so we'll be putting in a more sturdy contraption soon so they won't start falling over.
Whew, that was a lot of pictures. I'm impressed if you are still reading :) That wasn't even the whole garden! The rest of the tour will have to come later.
But before we go, this is where we rest when we're done playing in the garden. As you can see we should be playing less and weeding more :)

Wow! It looks like everything is thriving. By the way I like your neighbor's house-it looks like a cabin.
