No strange ingredients here (with the exception of oyster sauce maybe).  Good ol' beef and broccoli.  And you can really add as much beef (or chicken if you don't like beef) and whatever vegetables you happen to have.

My stir fry cooking method might seem overly complicated at first since there's lots of transferring, but it's really not that hard to get the hang of.  And unless you are a wok master, which I am not, I've found that this is the best way to keep everything from getting over cooked and the sauce just right.  Give it a try and let me know what you think!

This is the time of year when I start craving all of my favorite Chinese foods (jiaozi, salt and pepper squid, char siu, etc.).  That's right, Chinese New Year is coming up, and we are ready to celebrate by eating all of our favorite foods.

This year I want to share the recipes of dishes we love and make all the time.  And if I can make them, then I'm sure that you can too!

Any time we have leftover rice we use it to make fried rice the next day.  Actually, there have been many times when I've made extra rice just so I will have extra for fried rice.  This one's easy and versatile, just make sure you have a really good nonstick skillet and leftover cold rice (yes, it really makes a difference).

We're getting lots of chances to practice our snowman making skills! 
This one was built before the big storm that closed everything on
Friday.

Here are a couple of pictures taken after the big storm.  Apparently they haven't had this much snow in over 20 years...lucky us!

Fortunately, now we have a great snow shovel.  So, bring it on!  I have a husband anxious to exercise his manliness and is just itching to shovel the driveway :)

Not a baby any more!  Now she's a regular leg grabbing toddler who desperately wants to run around like her big sister.

Meal time again.  Did I tell you that this one really likes to eat?  She eats everything and even after she's done eating she will want some food off your plate too.

Do you see those teeth?  There are 6 at the moment and she's getting really good at using them, so that's a real danger zone now.

Did you notice that the cover on the seat has been removed?  This was a tip we picked up on in Florida...it makes cleaning up SO much easier, and I don't think she's any less comfortable since her eating pattern hasn't been affected at all.
