Oh what a fun but crazy day to celebrate.  Here's a picture of the gift I made for that dear scientist of mine.  No true science teacher goes without the handy (remade and hawaiianized) pocket protector.  The real gift was the 2GB flashdrive (not pictured), quite upgrade from 128MB.  Plus now it's a handy place to store that key card that keeps getting lost.  I'm sure the pocket protector will just get tucked away or mysteriously disappear :)

Happy Chinese New Year (a week ago) to all those who celebrate it.  We celebrated by going to Chinatown with friends to enjoy dim sum where we found a new dress.  Our celebrations aren't over, we'll be eating more Chinese food in the weeks to come, yum.

This little girl has a new found love for shumai, including 'baby' shumai we can buy frozen at our local grocery store.  Other family favorites include char su bau, zongzi (Grandma's are the best), chow mein, duck, salt and pepper squid, and a whole lot more.
